Some interesting dates in the re-birth of Piper-Heidsieck.
1997 – The red label of the Cuvée Brut is launched. Symbolises enthusiasm, passion, excellence and extravaganza.
1999 – Cuvée Spéciale is dressed by Jean Paul Gautier, the first time a House has asked a fashion designer to dress a bottle.
2002 – Régis Camus becomes head winemaker.
2003 – Maturation on lees is lengthened.
2004 – Higher proportion of reserve wines make for more developed Non Vintage.
2006 – Piper-Heidsieck wins Non-Vintage Champagne of the Year.
2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 – Régis Camus wins Sparkling Winemaker of the Year. An unprecedented achievement in winemaking history. The award reflects the extraordinary degree of skill, time, care and attention which is applied by Regis Camus to the elaboration of his wines – and is further reinforcement of the exceptional quality of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagnes.
2014 Piper-Heidsieck celebrates Cellar Master Regis Camus’ 20th anniversary with the House and marks the occasion with his world tour, beginning in Reims and continuing throughout the year.
