Graham Beck – The Bubbly Story

5th November 2019

The story of Graham Beck Winery

When it comes to bubbly then one name that sticks out for many is Graham Beck, a famous South African winery producing a fine selection of sparkling wines (Méthode Cap Classique) with an expressed in the bottle fine attention to detail and authenticity.

Graham Beck: “Passionately pursuing the perfect bubble.

With vineyards in the Breede River Valley region, located in the Western Cape Province, and a fabulous tasting room open to bookings in the Robertson Wine Valley, Graham Beck is a must visit wine tourism destination.

For their wine making knowledge and team it is through Pieter Ferreira, affectionately known to many as ‘Mr Bubbles’, that Graham Beck have ongoing international stardom. There since the first vintage, the shared journey and passion between Mr Bubbles and Graham Beck sees an extraordinary dedication to crafting wines of authenticity, consistency and supreme elegance.

With bubbly it’s even more vital to create that finesse and delicacy. The smaller you can create that bubble, the better the chances that the wine will develop the necessary delicate and complex flavours.” Peter Perreira.

Graham Beck winery dates back to 1983 where the late Mr Graham Beck purchased a farm (Madeba) with an ambition to establish a world-class winery. An entrepreneur with success stories within property and coal mining, his global business ventures enabled him to pursue two great passions successful, wine and horses / horse racing both of which continue today in the hand of his son Antony.
