Vino Ljubljana 2018 Slovenia

Recognised as the oldest wine competition of the world, the ‘International Wine Competition’ (Vino Ljubljana) took place during 13/14/15th of April 2018, Ljubljana in Slovenia. Glass of Bubbly were delighted to be invited and of course continue our passion for the promotion of worldwide sparkling wines.

The competition attracts many entries from Slovenia and local countries as also some from further away wine regions of the world – It is open to all styles of wine.

We were, of course, excited to be part of the judging of sparkling wines to include a couple of English Sparkling Wines that we brought along with us to enter to the awards. In the end, it was down to two finalists which all the judges had to decide upon… Would it be A or B! The winner of the World Champion of Sparkling Wine 2018 was Radgonske Gorice D.D. – Zlata Radgonska Penina Rose
