The Drappier vineyard covers 100 hectares and constitutes the House’s essential trump card. Since 1808 our family has used its skill to select parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville, where the Pinot Noir, in the majority, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines.Champagne Drappier

For those of you who love the Saignée method then Champagne Drappier have a great example for you to taste. 100% Pinot Noir zero dosage with low sulphur content, the Brut Nature Rosé offers aromas of strawberry and raspberry with floral notes of red rose petals. The taste gives red fruits, citrus, orange zest and faint notes of white pepper.

This is a Champagne that really appreciates being well chilled at a recommended 7°C and pairs well with dishes to include salmon carpaccio or scallops, sushi and grilled meats. Of course, nothing stops you enjoying this wine as an apéritif and is a wonderful suggestion for those Summer afternoon and evening parties in the garden.

Maceration in vats lasting 3 days and only the juices from first pressing. Use of gravity to avoid pumping, thus avoiding oxidisation. Minimal use of sulphur, natural settling. Alcoholic fermentation for roughly 2 weeks at low temperature then total and natural malolactic fermentation. No filtering Assemblage. 100% of the wines are made in vats in order to preserve as much freshness as possible. After bottling the cuvée is aged for 2 to 3 years sur lattes (on laths).
