There is quite a lot packed into Denbies Wine Estate for those wishing to embrace English wine. Located in Dorking, Surrey and just under one hour from central London by train you can experience everything from wine tourism, wine and dine, events and overnight stays.

 

The Estate now comprises 627 acres and an impressive 265 acres are planted with vines (first planted in 1986) which makes it the biggest in England. Visitors to the estate include Prince Albert in 1851 and Queen Elizabeth II in 1986.

Wine tourism at Denbies includes you being able to take part in outdoor tours to view the estate and vineyard as well as a tour of the wine production area and a tasting in the cellars.

 

When it comes to wine and dine time then Denbies offers you both the Conservatory Restaurant for the perfect al-fresco dining experience along with the Gallery Restaurant with seasoned menus and a fine selection of wines including those produced on the estate. You can also visit the onsite shop to take home some local foods and spoil yourself with a bottle or two of English sparkling wine!

 

For events, there are many that take place on the estate such as ‘Cheese & Wine Making Experience’, ‘Vintage & Collectables Fair’ and ‘Valentines Masquerade Ball’ with many more listed on their website here. You can also book your own event to take place at Denbies including weddings!
