Villa Sandi Il Fresco – Brut, Bio and now Rosé!

il Fresco Prosecco Villa Sandi

One of the many admirable things about the famous Prosecco producer Villa Sandi is the great depth of labels you can choose from. For a winery who exports to over 100 countries, their choice offering is important and if you are after discovering the Prosecco region then they have all boxes ticked to include (available from January 2021) a new rosé!

The ‘il Fresco’ range from Villa Sandi translates to ‘The Fresh’ range which hopefully gives you an idea of the style of wine you will be enjoying.

Il Fresco is their DOC range of Prosecco that offers five varieties – we decided to taste and compare three of them:

il Fresco Prosecco Villa Sandi Rosé Brut and Bio

il Fresco Rosé Millesimato 2019 (rosé Prosecco)

Tasting Notes: “My second tasting of this new release from Villa Sandi this week. The eagerly anticipated rosé Prosecco. The aromas are full of delicate pink floral, crisp dark red apples, candy floss and also that Prosecco character of yellow apples and pears. You are excited to taste and when you do you’ll be delighted by fresh strawberry, creamy red apples with white floral and soft citrus notes.

il Fresco Brut Prosecco

Tasting Notes: “Apricot, yellow apple and pear, white blossom nose. Soft and creamy flavours of delicate apple, pear and sweeter citrus. Considering this is the entry level Prosecco, DOC, it is a fine introduction to this magnificent wine region.

il Fresco Biologico Organic  Prosecco

Tasting Notes: “Maybe the label influenced me, though I have a light green expression in my mind from the wine. Compared to the two previous il Fresco it is a slight bit more towards drier in style, though it gives plenty of freshness from the fruit. Still that creamy character from Villa Sandi with dried green apple slices, creamy green pear and a touch of fresh cut grass. Have confidence that by opting for the Bio label you will not be cheated of the wonderful character of flavours the Prosecco region offers – I can see a lot of work has gone into making this wine as fine as it presents itself as.

I want to sell Villa Sandi Wines in my country?

This is a question that many ask once they have discovered the wines of Villa Sandi. From first hand experience, I can confidently say that Villa Sandi has a great family bond even though it is one of Italy’s biggest and most famous wineries. So much work has gone into creating a smooth operational network of distributors across the world that you will not be working alone as the Villa Sandi Family believe a lot in giving as much support as they possibly can to help people become successful who join them. Unlike any other winery, big or small, that I have seen, none compare to that of Villa Sandi. It is a family business still with active father and mother along with son and daughter in the business, though their welcoming attitude and closeness with all their workers, they all blend in as one. Seeing is believing, I suggest to make contact today with Villa Sandi if you would like to enquire about exporting and selling their wines – Official contact page is here for Villa Sandi: https://villasandi.it/contatti/
