Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque 1982
10th April 2018
Salute! from the Champagne Region of France – Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque is a vintage Champagne, aged since 1982. A delicious, sweet-sipping blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pino Meunier (Mon Yeahy!), Belle Epoque is characterized by a light, effervescent taste with a rich, bold lasting memory.
For making memories that last.
Perrier Jouet is known as the brand of Champagne represented by elegance and class, and so are its drinkers. Presentation is everything when it comes to Jouet, and the bottles become blushing beautifications and comely conversation pieces, especially as the night goes on. Watch the artwork amaze, with less drink in the vase, through the champagne-minded Faze. The most attractive quality of Belle Epoque is the fabulous, floral artwork by Emile Gallle (1902), adding intrigue to the bottles, inviting drinkers to display them as centrepieces, atop (or underneath) the table. The sea-glass toned, green, translucent backdrop highlights pastel, painted petals, creating
a display of visual art for dinner guests, reflecting light and making your night. Jouet presents us with a variety of selections to play with, in a vast array of vintage bottles, and you can celebrate with them, because tonight, they’re 30 years old! – Or 36, if they’re lying about their age, again.
This is the Champagne that was poured at the Monaco wedding of HRH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene.
WTF is HRH, you might be thinking?
Here are some options:
a) Happy Refreshment Hijinks
b) Holiday Romance Harlequins
c) Hippy Relaxation Hours
If you chose all of the above, you’re wrong. It means His Royal Highness and you can get sued for saying that. Oh, and here we thought it was some sort of Big Brother acronym – PJB! – Perrier Jouet Belle!
A blend of 50% Chardonnay (Light, sweet, and nutty – Subtle fruit flavours like pear and citrus and Mesnil/Oger too, Shrek-Wreck. It’s the best kind of wine for you!); 45% Pinot Noir (Aÿ – Captain! That’s Australian wine – tastes like the flowers on the bottles and almond biscotti – Bouzy is how you’ll feel, and a tart kick in the aftertaste too); It’s followed by the Meunier (Dizy it what it gets you – great for wine and cheese, and a friendly aperitif – Raise your glass in celebration of what you do – Toast: “Sommelier Approved!”
At first flight, you will get a nice blend of all the citrus flavours you love, in a light, bubbly taste, with a rich, sparkling quality to the Champagne, and an apply-delight-like sip to savour. Capped off with the Meunier, there is an everlasting fruity taste, that you won’t forget, and its flavour bouquet when you open it – Epoque! – keeps you coming back for more.
A Highly Esteemed Rarity
Like an elegant, flawless and perfected diamond, Perrier Jouet has chiselled its Champagne production and distillation to mature mastery of the most brilliant vintages. Through decades of experience, the intriguing characteristics of Belle Epoque are ever-alluring and ever-lasting, the kind of mysterious qualities that you cannot describe in simple words; you have to experience it to see what we mean.
For just under $200 USD, we suggest fully investing in the bottles that come with creative presentation, well-preserved and better with age boldness, complete with art inspired, matching Champagne Flutes. Share stories with friends or romantic evenings with your own, matching soul – good character, good company, HRH – It’s Happy ( Really happy ) Hour.
Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque 1982 is the Champagne you’ve been waiting for.
36 years is worth it.
