In the small town of Maser that is located at the foot of the Asolo hills, you will find Martignago Cantina Sant’Andrea winery. A family grower with a long history of growing vines in the region that currently offers a selection of nine wines with a range of Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG. The family currently own and manage 8 hectares of vineyards that most are dedicated to the Glera grape which is the main ingredient in the making of Prosecco, importantly they grow vines within the highly rated Asolo DOCG region.

There is a consistent taste throughout their sparkling range with a great expression of the terroir of this region that gives a good firm structure and minerality, ideal for those looking for a crisp and refreshing Prosecco and something which pairs well with varied foods.

As a business, we oversee the entire production chain, from grapes to bottling and we are proud to be a part of the FIVI family, the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers.

Like many of the wineries I have visited in Asolo, their attention is placed on protecting local nature with elimination of unnecessary herbicides and others products that are likely to have adverse effects on wildlife, the terroir and also human health. This is though of course a big change within the world of wine as a whole so requires a lot of research and at times investment in order to reduce negative footprints and to reverse back in to traditional and natural wine making techniques.
Starting with the 2017 vintage, all pesticides used in the vineyard will be published on our website.

The winery offers wine tours for any visitors in both Italian and in English and also a tasting of their wines. You will also find the family owns and run their own restaurant opposite the winery so you will be able to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon within the town of Maser and a firm introduction to the sparkling wines of Asolo.
