Congratulations to Champagne Lanson with their Ivory Label Demi Sec which received a Trophy at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards 2017.

A panel of 36 top industry wine judges tasted all the entries for 2017 and were able to not only scores wines with medals, but also place them in to easy to understand categories such as Dessert: “Dessert wine with Stilton or lemon tart… Yum! A wine that may take ages to develop and likely not to be a simple wine, sweet experience yet complex in taste.

With aromas of ripe fruit, cinnamon and honey notes and a delicious fruity flavour. This Champagne lends itself to sweeter dishes and is the ideal complement to a traditional afternoon tea or dessert.

One of the oldest holders of the Royal Warrant, Champagne Lanson is a family-run House in the capital of Champagne, Reims.

I have visited this winery a few times and it is a tourist friendly location with accompanied tours around its winery in Reims a must on your list of things to do when visiting the region. Lanson offers a wide selection of Champagne that many consumers will be familiar with and here we have their sweeter version which has deservedly picked up a trophy at this years The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly awards. It has that light yet refreshing, sweet and with a taste explosion palate and aroma experience that makes it an ideal dessert wine. If you want a pick me up then discover the Champagne of Lanson and you will find a label to suit your mood!” Christopher Walkey.
