Villa Sandi Nero Prosecco

As a great fan of the Prosecco range that Villa Sandi produces I could not but help be drawn to a new looking bottle on their stand during the 2019 UK Sommelier Awards in Piccadilly, London.

Villa Sandi have their own unique and patented shaped bottle for much of their Prosecco range, from standard DOC brut up to the very best in Cartizze, you can scale from the beginning to the end of the wonderful Prosecco journey with this winery. Now they have added the Nero to their range.

I grabbed a quick chat with Diva, daughter and brand ambassador of family Moretti Polegato who own and run the winery, said that production for the new Nero has been successful with the design of bottle gaining many compliments and plans are that upon continued success of the new label that it will be brought in to their range for repeat annual production.

Villa Sandi Nero (Extra Brut Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG): “Upon tasting the Nero you know it is part of the Villa Sandi Prosecco family. Fresh, Smooth and creamy, which are the characteristics of Villa Sandi, and though it is an extra brut so with reduced sugars, we still get subtle and a welcoming fruity flavour mostly yellow apples and pears with a crisp chalk/mineral edge.
